Hello!I'm Märta-Louise (though most people call me Märta), and I'm based in Sweden. I make 3D art and animations for games, and have a niche interest in cartoony 3D.Drawing and other types of creative hobbies have always been big interests of mine. 3D art was something I started studying out of curiosity - and fell in love with the potential of stylization and mixing mediums.I'm used to working in smaller teams as a generalist. Whether it's 3D art, 3D animation, rigging, illustration, video editing, particle effects, some scripting - I'm versatile. Personality-wise I'm detail oriented and love spending extra time tinkering on a project until it turns out the way I like - whether it's my own stylized project, or making smart solutions for game optimization.My main strengths in terms of software are,

Hotel Architect

Roles: 3D artist, animator

Have been working on the management game Hotel Architect since 2022. We're a small team at Pathos Interactive, so I was the only 3D artist for the first couple years, and thus have had to wear many hats during my time here. I've shifted between making 3D art (characters, environment), animations, rigs, concepting the UI, shaders, particle effects, renders, etc.

Pokémon

Role: 3D artist

Made a 3D version of Arkestar's Pokémon illustration (2021). Everything is handpainted in Substance painter and Clip Studio Paint, and modelled in Maya. The toony outline effect is made with mesh with inverted normals, and solid colors.

Mika

This 3D scene was based on Paroro's illustration in 2020. I made it to explore a cartoony 3D style, with inspiration from for example the Persona games. You can read more about it in this interview by 80lv.

Hiroshi Nagai game concept

Roles: 3D artist, UI

Created a game concept / character demo in UE4, inspired by Hiroshi Nagai's album art and the music associated with it (2021). Learnt to make different types of shaders (toon shadows, water, vertex), and how to hook up character appearance with the UI.

Merlin sculpt

Role: 3D artist

Sculpted a stylized portrait of Colin Morgan's Merlin. (2019) Used ZBrush and Clip Studio Paint.
